Data protection

1. Personal data

We, WIMTECH Personal- und Montage GmbH, only collect, process and use your personal data with your consent or instruction or within the scope of the existing or to be concluded contractual relationship with you for the purposes agreed with you or if another legal basis is in accordance with the GDPR; this in compliance with data protection and civil law regulations.

Only such personal data is collected that is necessary for the implementation and processing of our services or that you have provided to us voluntarily.

Personal data is all data that contains individual information about personal or factual circumstances, such as name, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, age, gender, social security number, video recordings, photos, etc.

2. Information and deletion

As a data subject, you have the right at any time to information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing, as well as a right to correction, data transfer, objection, restriction of processing and blocking or deletion of incorrect or unlawfully processed data.

If there are any changes to your personal data, we ask you to inform us accordingly.

You have the right to revoke your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Your request for information, deletion, correction, objection and/or data transfer, in the latter case, provided that this does not cause disproportionate effort, can be addressed to our company's address listed in point 10 of this declaration.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data by us violates applicable data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated in some other way, you have the option of complaining to the responsible supervisory authority. In Austria, the data protection authority is responsible for this.

3. Data security

Your personal data is protected through appropriate organizational and technical precautions. These precautions relate in particular to protection against unauthorized, unlawful or even accidental access, processing, loss, use and manipulation.

Despite efforts to maintain an appropriately high standard of care, it cannot be ruled out that information you provide to us via the Internet will be viewed and used by other people.

Please note that we therefore assume no liability of any kind for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission not caused by us and/or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g. hack attack on email account or telephone, interception of faxes).

4. Use of the data

We will not process the data provided to us for purposes other than those covered by the contractual relationship or by your consent or otherwise by a provision in accordance with the GDPR. The exception to this is use for statistical purposes, provided that the data provided has been anonymized.

5. Transfer of data to third parties

In order to fulfill the contractual relationship, it may also be necessary to forward your data to third parties, courts or authorities. Your data will only be forwarded on the basis of the GDPR, in particular to fulfill the contractual relationship or based on your prior consent.

Some of the recipients of your personal data mentioned above are located outside your country or process your personal data there. The level of data protection in other countries may not correspond to that in Austria. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection or we take measures to ensure that all recipients have an adequate level of data protection, for which we use standard contractual clauses (2010/87/ EC and/or 2004/915/EC).

6. Disclosure of data breaches

We strive to ensure that data breaches are identified early and, if necessary, immediately reported to you or the responsible supervisory authority, taking into account the respective data categories that are affected.

7. Retention of data

We will not store data longer than is necessary to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations and to avert any liability claims.

8. Cookies

Our website uses “cookies” to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure.

A “cookie” is a small text file that we transfer to the browser’s cookie file on your computer’s hard drive via our web server. This enables our website to recognize you as a user when a connection is established between our web server and your browser. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our websites. The content of the cookies we use is limited to an identification number, which no longer allows any personal reference to the user. The main purpose of a cookie is to recognize visitors to the website.

Two types of cookies are used on this website:

  • Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave our website and are automatically deleted at the end of your visit.
  • Permanent cookies: To improve user-friendliness, cookies remain stored on your device and allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

9. Server log files

In order to optimize our website in terms of system performance, user-friendliness and provision of useful information about our services, the website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes your Internet protocol address (IP address), browser and language setting, operating system, referrer URL, your Internet service provider and date/time.

This data will not be merged with personal data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.
